I actually discovered my hair hated protein long before I went CG or knew I was low porosity. Someone explained to me that just because my hair was dry didn't mean it was damaged and the reason I was getting bad results was because I was using products for damaged hair. Dry and damaged hair is a common product group. I started reading ingredients and noticed proteins were consistently in there in large amounts.
