I have been thinking of doing the conditioner only route but thought that wouldn't be enough. Plus my hair isn't really dry so it gets over conditioned easily.

From what you're saying it sounds like fsg would be a really good fit for you. You won't get overconditioned from using it and you can just scrunch and go. You may have to play around with consistency or different add-ins.
fine - normal porosity*?- medium density - normal elasticity. Hard water. SoCal.
*Used to be low-porosity, but I lightened my hair 1-2 shades, so I may be normal-porosity now.
