I use a cheap cowashing conditioner to remove oils and it works pretty well for me. I usually use suave because it's cheap and spreads easily. It actually works for me better if I apply it on oiled but not wet hair. I practically coat my hair and leave it on for at least 20 minutes then wash it out. I dont know why but when I out it in wet hair it doesnt work well. Also, try to scrub your scalp like you're cowashing which helps. I've used it on castor oil, olive oil, and coconut oil. I find that it removes the excess oil and prevents my hair from being greasy without drying it out. Hope it works for you
