Opposite side of the spectrum here. My hair love, love, LOVES honey. I throw it in a super elaborate deep treat at least once a week. I also keep a bottle of honey in my bath at all times to mix with conditioner when I'm washing my hair. (Yes, visitors think I'm crazy, but who cares?) Honey really moisturizes my hair. I have not tried it as a styler though.. . Oh, and I also do a honey mask once a week on my face. It's great for your skin, too. FYI, you would need a whole crapload of honey, I'm talking two cups maybe on cleansed, naked hair, to lighten your hair and even then it probably wouldn't do much. The level of peroxide is so miniscule. If you warm it in the microwave (I often do) before adding it to your deep treats it doesn't have any lightening properties at all. Anyways, I think I would've noticed if honey had lightened my hair because it's pretty black.
