When I do an elaborate deep treat, if I don't want get sticky I only use a tbsp of honey compared to a tbsp of avocado, castor, grapeseed, olive, coconut oil, a teaspoon of aloe vera, a couple of tbsp of conditioner, etc. . . If I don't care about my hair being sticky or crunchy during the time I'm doing the deep treat, I'll use more honey. I usually just throw on a shower cap afterwards so it being crunchy for an hour doesn't bother me. Honey rinses right out.
