I would work with ingredients proven to strengthen or patch repair hair, coconut oil, hydrolysed protein (mild product so you don't get brittle), ceramides and panthenol.
Also ingredients that increase 'slip' and reduce friction, shea butter and castor oil are not especially good for that both being rather sticky. Products at pH 4.5 to 5.5, cationic surfactants especially the behentrimoniums, marshmallow (DIY or Kinky Curly Knot Today) even some silicones.
Your Giovanni conditioner only contains one emollient/ fatty alcohol and no cationics at all. What product are you using whilst you are finger detangling? The Jessicurl is a low poo so won't give the level of slip/ friction reduction of a good conditioner.
2a-2c, medium texture, porous/ colour treated. Three years CG, growing out mechanical and chemical damage = breakage and very high porosity. Past armpit length heading for waist.
