I don't like plopping, I find it really tangles my hair and I also end up with what I call wierdos and straights - hair that just doesn't really fit with my other curls. I do what I call a light turban - I use a t-shirt and with my head upside down I kind of wrap it lightly around my head and hair and then flip upright and fold it over my head. I stay like that for about 10 minutes and then take it out and scrunch with the t-shirt. The scrunching really helps to cut down on dry time, about an hour less for the ends.
