Usually if I want to just use conditioner I use a baking soda rinse prior to applying conditioner. This makes my hair absorb the moisture and with very low porosity hair, I don't need to use an ACV rinse after. This makes my hair soft and moisturized.

I recently have been trying to cowash with just conditioner but my hair is always dry and feels producty afterward. It's like I didn't even use conditioner and just put product in.

My theory is that since my hair is such low porosity, the conditioner just washes off, leaving whatever is in my hard water to sit on my hair.

Has anyone else experienced this? I never use leave ins or use alot of product. I just cowashed tonight and my hair feels like straw! Is it because my hair is LP or is it the hard water?

I'm okay with going back to my old regime... I am just hoping to get some insight! Thanks!
