I did a gluten free type deal and their were some interesting results. I am already vegan so I upped the ante(sp?) by cutting out gluten any type of processed sugar and ate raw meals. I did this for 7 days and only gave in and had cooked red potatoes for one meal out of the 7 days. I worked out for 6 days and when I stepped on the scale 10 lbs gone. I notices bloating go down and also noticed when I tried to introduce gluten and heavier starches back in I was not in a pain free place. I originally did this to experiment in raw veganism to see if I had what it takes.
