You should be able to find coconut oil in most grocery stores (might be in the health food section). Firefox is more knowledgeable about ingredient ins and outs than I am, so I defer in that area. Unfortunately I'm also not much help with glycerin-free because my hair is very agreeable with most ingredients in most climates. But I have seen some people react to glycerin in a similar way that many people react to too much protein. It can be tricky to narrow down sometimes because different people's hair can react differently to products. For example, I know of several ladies who get overly soft, limp/straight hair if they use too much protein, rather than the dry straw feeling so many describe.
