So I'm curious, since "a little more/a little less/a little bit/a fair amount" can mean different things to different people, "how much" leave in conditioner and gel do you use/suggest? Dime size amount? Quarter size? Something larger?

I don't understand your coinage, but I use three to five blobs on my porous armpit length, neither thick nor thin hair. I just kept adding each wash until I'd used enough/ too much. It feels like it's way too much conditioner, that it won't ever dry on without being sticky or greasy but it does. Lower porosity hair may require less of course.

Styler: Umberto Giannini jelly, Au Naturale styling gelee
Flour sack towel, pixie diffuse or air dry.
