^I agree with the above ladies re: lots of conditioner and patience and detangling from the bottom up and KCKT if you have it.
I'm wondering if you're actually over-proteined though. "Mushy and waxy" doesn't sound like too much protein but overconditoned and/or buildup. My hair actually only gets tangly when it's overconditioned (it's also mushy/gummy then). Waxy generally means buildup... I'm not familiar with many of the products in your siggy so I can't give you any clues to what it can be. What did you use to clarify? I can't say for certain what is going on in your case, but hopefully adding a piece to the puzzle.
Anywhoo, right now just be patient, you'll get all the tangles out!
