I tried the Smooth n Shine curl activator for the first time yesterday and it came out pretty good. My hair was definitely moisturized and shiney. It does take forever to dry and it is a little gooey and sticky but that will keep your hands out of your hair for sure  .
It is not a drippy mess though so that's good, not like what we think of when we think of an activator. It is cheap and we like cheap......  .
I did use a little of Qhemet's Olive Cream before applying the activator and shingling.
