Default Best Co-wash?

What, in your opinion, is the best conditioner (drugstore and/or salon brands) for co-washing? I want something without SLS or cones and which will not strip/dry out my 3c curls. Any suggestions? Thank you!

A lot of people that are natural that use drug store brands like Suave Naturals, V05, Giovanni, Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine or Garnier Fructis Fortifying Creme Conditioner, and Tresemme Naturals.

All of the above CONDITIONERS do not contain silicones or SLS. Hence why they are probably the most used among curly haired people as far as drug store brands.

The cool thing about them is that they can also be used as leave-ins too depending on what your hair responds to the best.

For instance.. I like all the products that I listed above and have used them all. But products like V05 and Suave Naturals are better as co-washes for me rather than leave ins because I have very thick hair and they are a little thin for all day wear for me. But the Garnier Fructis and Tresemme Naturals are perfect for my hair as leave-ins all day.

These days I mainly use either Suave or V05 for a co-wash and I use my Tresemme Naturals for a leave-in. Keeps my hair moisturized and very soft all day. The only other thing I use after I apply my leave-in is a mixture of olive oil and castor oil.

I still use my Suave Naturals Tangerine condish, but in the last two weeks I've been using Nature's Gate conditioners which are also really good.

Nature's Gate, yes! Watch out for something called "revitalising" conditioner for damaged hair... way too much protein. Made my hair feel so dry and I didn't know why until 2 weeks later when I finally examined the ingredients list closely.

I don't know if I have that one. I have the Biotin, Henna, and Tea Tree formulas. I did not like the Jojoba oil formula that much so I gave it away. But thanks for the heads up..

For me personally I like the following:

Tresemme Naturals Moisture Nourishing Conditioner (they make 2 natural products) - Can be purchased anywhere I think!

Generic Value Products Biolage Matrix Conditioning Balm - Can be purchased only at Sally's Beauty Supply.

Yes, I just started using this one, too, and I LOVE IT!!!

I also really like Mill Creek Organics Jojoba Conditioner. (I order this thru Vitacost.com.)
Suave Naturals Coconut is pretty good if you're on a budget.
I don't like the VO5 conditioners at all. They give me no slip and to me they smell too much like lab chemicals.

And Tresemme Naturals, which I think is the "best vaule" co-wash, because its not running like vo5/sauve, it has a good deal of slip and can be purchased anywhere.

I decided to buy myself a bottle of Tresemme Naturals for a co-wash. It's really good. I recommend it. It's actually also pretty good on it's own, if you're having a lazy hair day and just plan on wearing your hair in a ponytail.

Thumbs up

Although I am a few years late to this thread, I'm thankful for it! Just bought some Suave Naturals so I hope it works out well for me. I have a very short twa, might as well say a pixie cut but I am starting my hair care regimen now so it grows in healthy, strong and soft.

Aussie moist 3 minute deeep conditioner for those really dry hair days and tresemme flawless curls is a great rinse out, leave in, cowash and great deep conditioner if you add oils.
