Two little baby pony tails with bangs in the front.

Third day hair. I'm trying to embrace frizz and all that.

Second day hair in the form of a very high ponytail. Very high is the only place I can get 95% of it right now, and I actually like how it looks on me. And it was moving day. So no hair-related effort was exerted.

Today i was too lazy to do any styling so I took down my pineapple, wet the edges, put some styling gel and put it right back up lol!
I threw a headband on to make it a daytime look :-)

Sadly, I straightened my hair to length check and trim after 13 weeks of no heat. I miss my curls but am enjoying the length. Waist length this year, hopefully!

It's a big old wash n go. I've finally accepted that my hair is (and always will be, while curly) BIG. This is (psychologically) a huge step forward for me.

I quite like it like this.. block out the sun!
I'm wearing a big fluffy fro today.. I literally woke up, and didn't do anything to my hair. Just let it do what it do.

Comments like this (though I know that you meant it as a compliment) are what make me wish I had straight/wavy/smaller hair. I lost count of the big hair jokes when I was about 10, and they still make me cringe/want to wear my hair up and hidden for the rest of my life. There is either something very wrong in my head, or I'm just not meant to be a curly (or a super dense 3c, anyway).

Oh, sorry.. I didn't mean it in a negative way at all. Like you said, coming to acceptance isn't easy. But if it makes you feel any better I'm pretty envious of your density.. I have much less dense hair, and I can only get volume when I don't wet my hair for a few days. Otherwise it's usually on the flat side.

I have to wet my hair every day that I want to wear it down, because that was day 1 of a wash and go. Multiple day hair only exists in my life if I wear it up, partially up, or braided. It's extremely frustrating. And it's never helped that, because I'm white, people make Jew fro jokes. All the damn time. It absolutely kills me.

This is my first post on this forum but I had to say something about this post. Anyone that makes ignorant jokes like this should be disregarded. Sometimes you have to put people in a box, compartmentalize them in your mind. If you let these comments bother you then they win. Truth is, they're most likely jealous of your full, beautiful mane and secretly wish they could get their (thin, plain, balding, nonexistent---insert any other adjective) hair to "do that."
When you're 50 with a head full of hair and those people have visible bald patches or are using hair pieces to make their hair thicker, you'll know what I mean. Girl, white, black or whatever you have gorgeous hair. I love it!
