I love your hair! I wish mine had more volume!
I've been doing mainly protective styling lately. My hair is not the same since I had it straight a few weeks ago

this is pretty much how i wear my hair everyday..i havent mastered the art of styling curly hair yet. Ive only been really "natural" since may. I stopped relaxing 2 years ago but still wore my hair straight.

jelover9, your hair is great! How do you maintain your curl pattern if you only wash twice a week? How do you stop it from frizzing at night? Do you refresh with water in the mornings?
If I could achieve that look all week, I would be a happy lady!

My Two-Strand Twist
This is my 2-strand twist. However, because my hair is so wavy/coily it looks as though I twisted than curled them! I was so looking forward to the hanging twists of my 4a-c(z?) sisters but this IS what I get!
My husband LOVES this style!
I can't tell you how many times I've been stopped by salon owners and beauticians! He gets a kick out of it when they say "where did you have your hair done?"
I've been stopped on the track, Target, and on the train too numerous to count. So I gues its a keeper style!

Aww, thanks ladies!
I put my hair in a Sue Maesta Hood at night to avoid the stretching that I've experienced with the pineappling technique. In the morning it's a little stiff and uncooperative so I just fluff it down and use some coconut oil to coax it. In that picture I'm pretty sure I had some gel and coconut oil in it to prevent frizz. If it's been stretched out/looks a little frizzy I'll spray it with water and put coconut oil over it. I don't mind some frizz and I really hate wet hair!

Been so lazy this summer and got down to washing once a week, and this is what I did on wash day:
I didn't flat iron or anything, just rocked the blowout and had a nice, big bun!

Wash n go... as always. I did the BC in april so my hair is still pretty short. I haven't grown too tired of it yet so I'm still good. All you ladies have gotten very creative with your twas and have inspired me to try new things with mine though. So I may be branching out from my twa soon!

Thank you! Someone else advised me on the Sue Maesta hood but they do not sell them in the UK. I never feel quite comfortable buying from sites that are not in the Uk - and I don't even know why I feel that way! I think I might need to bite the bullet and go for it!

Is your hair stretched for this? I just imagine my hair would laugh at me if I tried to do this in it's shrunken state.

QuirkyCoils ,you are gorgeous! I especially love the second hairstyle. How did you do it? I'm sure you look cute with short hair too.
Today, I'm wearing my second day hair out. It's like a lion.

OMG, Thank you sooo much!! I started on the left side of my head and I kind of twisted the side up and stopped wear a bang line would be, then I just lifted the rest and simply tucked it in and pinned it until I got the right side. Then I kinda swooped it to the side and pinned it.

Here's a pic of the back. I can't wait until my hair gets your length so I can do stuff like this with my own hair :-)
