Thank you! I have never really worn fingercoils before, so this is new for me. I like them though.. I'm on day 3!

I need to look up finger coiling techniques, they always look awesome and people seem to get multi day hair with them. But with my hair a lot of the I can't clump my curls on purpose (lp and fairly coarse) - I can put conditioner on my roots and run my fingers down my strand, and it'll separate at the top if it wants to. That's why I usually just let Izzy do what she wants, lol.

One thing I noticed is that not all the curls curl in the same direction.. some go clockwise, and others are counterclockwise. So maybe that has something to do with it? My roots aren't perfectly clumped either.. the coil starts at about a half inch down the strand from the root.

I only used conditioner and oil (my staples) to do this style. I refresh with ORS Elastici-tea leave in conditioner, which I have put in a spray bottle, and a lil shea or an oil.

I think that I would have to use a curl cream type product. My hair doesn't absorb oil on wet hair unless I use something water based over it. Like I tried the conditioner-oil combo for a wash n go and I just had oil sitting on top of my hair...

Yeah my hair is the total opposite of yours in terms of porosity and texture. I am porous as a sponge and have nearly invisible fine strands.

I would imagine you would just have to use the products you normally would for a set, so if it's a curl cream then use that. Or not.. just do your wng thang. Either way your hair is gorgeous. Izzy is growing like a weed.

Is that you in your avi? I love your hair.. it's so glossy! I wouldn't touch that hair! (sorry, not trying to change your mind)

I did my highlights because I figured my hair is short enough to not sustain too much damage, but it still did dry out and break off some of my hair. I have to deep condition and co-wash frequently to keep my hair somewhat together.

But if you do decide to highlight we're gonna have to see some pictures.

It was tight the first couple of days but apparently my hair grows fast or something because its not tight anymore and needs to be redone...its been a week

Wow those braids look awesome!

And I agree with BekkaPoo, zeleydprincess, your hair looks super healthy and shiny, but I can def see you with highlights too. I want highlights uber bad but I'm growing my henna out.

BekkaPoo - LOVE the highlights! My hair would fall to the ground if I ever did that...I have highlight envy.

CrazyCurlyHairedGuy - Great design!

I twisted the sides and put it on a low bun. I haven't had my hair loose lately it takes too long to dry in the morning and I'm always running late.

Bekkapoo love the color I'm tempted to get some highlights but um scared of the damage it may do.
Crazycurlyhairedguy your hair looks so shiny! Jealous!

thank you BekkaPoo and Ellyellyoxenfree! ( yes it is me in my avatar) =) as for the highlights, I'm still thinking about it, I'm trying to grow my hair longer and don't want to damage it at all. Plus, my hair is just naturally dry and I have really fine strands. I'm always looking for a super moisturizing deep condish.

Wash and go (like always...might need to do something about that) parted on the wrong side with the bangs I've been trying to grow out forever pinned back.

4 day old hair! I just wake in the morning, grab a few pieces and twirl them around my finger.
