Default Who is your idol for the curly hair?

My idol is Tracee Ellis Ross. Why I picked her? Her status made huge impact and influence on the curly hair community. Every woman want her hair during her era. I think she is most influenial icon of hair fashison era for natural curly hair.

Tell me one or two reasons why you love her or his hair? Non-celebrity or celebrity. Let have fun with your thinking of who you admire mostly. Do not forget this is 2010.

me!

i love my hair because it's mine, it's easier to compare and contrast my own hair to itself rather than someone else's, and i love looking through my fotki and seeing how my hair has changed through the years.

since you said "don't forget this is 2010", it made my choice much easier. years ago i probably would have had a list of other folks i considered to be my hair idol, but now i have way to much devotion, admiration, and adoration for my own hair to choose anybody else!

LOl Sub beat me to it... ME!! I'm too busy trying to tame my mop to think about somebodies elses.. I wish i had a fotki to look back on i need to make one lol.... and tracee's hair is very much like mine a few years ago she annoyed the sht out of me and I would never wear my hair like hers, i've embraced the mop now lol the bigger the better... but she has tamed her mop too over the years she doesnt wear it as big or as "natural" meaning her natural individual curls, as she use to, it seems like she has a twist out or bantu knots or some type of style her curls are way bigger and her hair isn't as huge/curly/puffy as it is in its "natural" state..

Natural Curl Pattern:

How She's been wearing her hair:

<--very cute

I've become the hair I've always wanted to be! (I'll have to remember this though when I'm having a less than good hair day! )

Subbrock, That's fine with me. I can tell that you are worshiping your own hair. I understand that your hair is your baby. lol. Anybody can do that.

I want to explain little bit why I picked Tracee Ross, her famous hair changed who I am. When I saw her on Girlfriend DVD, I decided to go natural. That's history. :-)

Curly, Tracee must have top hairstylist who do her hair in different styles. I feel that she knows how to do her own hair too after learned from her hairstylist.

Well I don't have "hair idols"...

But 2 women that have hair that I just think is fabulous is Kabra Kasai (an Ethiopian Jewish Israeli singer and Yvette Nicole Brown (an actress)..here are photos:

Kabra Kasai:

She usually has jet black hair....but I guess she decided to lighten it at one point.. couldn't find the pics with black hair.

Yvette Nicole Brown

She has lovely hair but it looks odd it looks plasticy maybe too much product and the way the curls are on the top layer looks like it's been styled or something... I wanted that girth and length for a moment until i saw this video lol.. she fluffs it... really nice though why can't my hair dry with minimal shrinkage and look like that with conditioner only

Default Very Sexy hair

Very Sexy Hair for anyone with this hair type. I do like her hair too.

If you want this hair then you can get it. It will be long time to have length hair. You can do that. :-)

I was in Sally's one day and Yvette Brown was standing next to me. She started chatting with me about some product. She's super nice...extremely down to earth.

As I was leaving Sally's all of these people mobbed her...I was like

I love Myas natural hair texture.. & Kelis' hair pre-foolishness, her hair is actually closest to my natural texture w/o the heat damage.. which is what im trying to get back to!

Vashtie Kola also has gorgeous hair, i wouldnt say shes my hair idol because her texture isnt similar to mine.. but its NICE!

& of course, Amel Larrieux.. who dosent love her hair?

I looked at Amel Larrieux's hair, her hair is different than others. She can do by curly, wave, and stright. She is pretty.

Vashtie and Maya have common curly hair like 3b, they still have pretty hair.

I bet a lot of women want Kelis to go back to old Kelis.
