How many shampoo?
Fess up who uses at least something that produces suds and how often?
I swear all my winter stuff builds up so quickly, even the CG stuff that seems like every other day I'm reaching for EMBS or I'll have a bad hair day

I use EMBS about once or twice a week. Other times I co-wash or use Activate, which lathers very nicely. If I get really gunky, I'll use HE Hello Hydration (I have a travel bottle) and then DT.

Me! I've been using either Paul Mitchell Shampoo One or ... er ... Head and Shoulders (my scalp can get unbearably dry and itchy in the winter and this is the only thing that helps). If I use the H&S, I do use the CG trick of coating my ends in lots of conditioner first. I probably shampoo about three times per week.

I shampoo 2 or 3 times a week with Dove Moisturizing shampoo. IF I don't, the curls get limp.

I use Neutrogena TGel medicated shampoo once or twice a week due to scalp issues. Now that I finally have health insurance maybe I can see a dermatologist about it!
The good thing about using shampoo is that I don't have to worry about using cones occasionally. I usually use the ones that can be washed out more easily though (like PEG-modified dimethicone). I'm not sure yet if they're helping my hair/frizz. The experiments continue!

Bailey, I need to get some activate. I've been using creme of nature, that works well for a few days before I need EMBS.
Thanks for the replies everyone. It's nice to hear about the one thing I don't see talked about on the boards as often, shampoo. Not that I think everyone has to but hey some of us like it or need to looks like.
Anyone else want to add their routine of how often, what shampoo or cleanser maybe?
TIA!

I'm like Lazykerri - have scalp issues and shampoo regularly. Sometimes sulfate poos but I try to avoid them as much as possible. I have an oil that I put on my scalp most nights that has to be pooed out in the morning so I poo most days. I would love to try cg but I don't think it'll ever happen.

I use Burt's Bees Super Shiny shampoo once a week, the same day I do my ACV rinse. It's sulfate-free, and it smells awesome.
My scalp gets itchy if I don't give it a good scrubbing once a week. In between I co-wash or use Jessicurl Hair Cleansing Cream.

I shampoo daily, yes, daily, with a sulfate-free poo (ABBA Creme Moist) and at least once a week, sometimes twice or more in the summer, with a clarifying sulfate shampoo (ABBA Molasses Purifier). I could easily shampoo daily, or near-daily, with a gentle sulfate shampoo with no ill effects. I just like the Creme Moist best.

Awww, thanks! I haven't updated those folders in a loooong time though. My hair is MUCH less curly now, post-baby. It's pretty much gone wavy. I'm actually quite depressed looking through all those old pictures. The difference is really stunning. I'm actually considering a spot perm these days...

Bummer! Will it eventually change back curly? My hair changed with my perimenopause and it's a bit less curly and thicker strands but thinner amount now , so bogus buuuuuut I noticed that sometimes when my hormones shift some real super curly hair will grow in. It sticks out of the top of my head. And some of it is grey so I'm hopeful!

Thanks so much for the replies everyone. I was avoiding shampoo because of my problem rinsing it out. I got a shower filter and it's still happening. But I think it might not be the shampoo but something I use that seems to hold onto the shampoo and keep some of it in my hair. It's freaky stuff. I wrote a book (sorry to those that bear through it) about it on the general forum in case someone else has this problem.
Finally after clarifying off what I think was wax? My hair bounced back. So it's not the evils of shampoo yay! Looks like more the lack of it? something.
I hope my hair dries well I want to take a pic, then show the one from yesterday next to it. It's just amazing the difference.
I'm so happy talking about others shampooing and doing well convinced me to try and work out what was going on with my hair so I can love my hair again!

I shampoo daily with Devacare low poo. I get to sweaty daily from work outs and plain water just does not work for rinsing my fine hair. I get serious scalp issues if I do not cleanse daily. CO'ing makes my scalp break out in cyst like acne, and I never had problems with acne in my life!!

I have to shampoo. Even though I don't use 'cones, my hair does better when it's cleaned a couple times a week. I only use Tresemme Vitamin C shampoo. It has ALS and one of those coco cleansers which I can't spell. I shampoo 2 or 3 times a week because I wear it up a lot for work. If I wore it down every day, I'd probably shampoo every other day.

I've also switched back to shampooing every day. I use Burt's Bees Super Shiny shampoo and conditioner. My hair is just too fine, and my scalp too itchy, to go without shampoo. I can wash every other day at most, but I get the best results with daily shampooing.
(Yes, I've tried CG, modified CG, CG washing wtih a BIG handful of conditioner, and other variations on CG the last two years. Daily shampooing just works better for me and I'm not afraid to say it!)

i'm a shampooer, and i'm proud to be one! my hair is just so much happier.
i usually use elucence shampoo, and i rotate in the elucence clarifier because of hard water.
this week, my hair was being goofy...just not curling, tried clarifying, didn't work...so last night i washed my hair with some moisturizing biolage shampoo and boing! my hair sprang back to life again.
girls, lets face it.
somtimes you just need some sulfates! it's just a matter of being smart with them.
the biggest advice i give people on hair is shampoo just your scalp. its transformed a few heads of hair in my office just because they aren't lathering up the entire length of hair. now their hair looks healthy and shiney. even they were surprised that something so simple could make a huge difference!

I go back and forth -- swearing off poos and then when my hair acts weird, I end up using Suave's clarifying and my curls come back to life. I have a love-hate relationship I guess. I'm wanting to try the new Aussie products when they come out...there's always something I am wanting to try that makes me need shampoos! Sometimes I even feel like I get more curl from shampooing.
