Default Help flatironed my hair for a wedding...

And my bang area has heat damage. I don't wear my hair straight that often because I work out a lot, but I guess my bangs couldn't take it.

Here's the damage:

What can I do to get it to kind of resemble the rest of my hair? I can't do twists because the ends unravel, and the hair won't stay. I've just been wearing it in a ponytail bun because I don't want to do anymore damage.

I also have a piece in the back that no matter what I do it doesn't curl and looks like a piece of fluff.

If anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated. I'm going to cut the straight hair in the front in July, by then I should have a bit more length in the front.

Not that it matters too much at this point but did u use a heat protectant while flat ironing? If not that could explain some of ur problems. So could using heat at too high a temp.

Also what did u do 2ur hair after u flat ironed it?
I recently flat ironed my hair the other week & had no problems w/it reverting. However the next wash/styling day after I flat ironed I did wash, did a deep conditioning protein treatment w/heat & then restyled as usual.

A protein treatment could definitely help & as far as keeping the twists in u could either twist then put a roller on the ends (for hold & curl) or else u could do bantu knots so that all of ur hair will curl until ur hair gets bk to its original condition.

I did use a heat protectant. I'm thinking the heat must have been too high for the front. I have a pretty good flat iron so I don't have pass through the hair a lot. The only thing I did differently this time was I spiral curled my hair (think shirley temple'ish).

I'm going to try a protein deep conditioning treatment and see if that will help some. I will be cutting that hair though if it doesn't curl back up.

I was just about to suggest that you try the Apohgee protein treatment. I've heard a lot of people having pretty good results from it.

Default Been there.

Everyone's suggesting ways to hide it, but the heat from the flat iron has permanently broken down the bonds in your hair. Cut it off and use less heat
