Is my hair frizzy?

Here are two pictures of part of my hair. My curls would be better looking if I didn't have these tiny strands that want to scatter all over the place.

Is this frizziness? If so, what can I do to try to fix it so I can have smooth hair?

Thanks.

p.s. Sorry if the pictures are a bit big.

EDIT: I guess what I should have said is is my hair a bit frizzy or is it normal for curly hair to have those loose stray hairs. I don't know why I even bothered editing my post because there have been over 40 views and not one reply.

It's frizz, but it's kind of hard to tell how bad it is because of the extreme close up. Even on my best days I have some amount of frizz, i.e. hairs that aren't organized into one of my curls! If I really glob on product I can eliminate it, but then my hair feels nasty.
It's VERY typical for wavy/curly hair to have some frizz. It's hard to tell what's going on in your pictures. They are little and really close up.

as the others have mentioned the pics are so close up, I feel like your head is an inch from my nose- so from that perspective it does look frizzy but maybe from farther away, it just looks normal?

Can you post some pics that are farther away from your hair?

Thanks everyone. I'm going to wash my hair today so I'll get some pictures for all of you on the weekend but I did find a picture of someone else when I did a search on frizzy hair. The strands I'm talking about look like this but not completely to that extent.

Before I found this site, I had no idea as to how to define my curls so now I'm lost as to what to use on my hair to eliminate frizz, how to treat dry hair and so on. I know what to use to make my hair look smooth when it's straightened but not when it's curly. This has been a huge learning process for me!
It's good for you to know your hair properties (here's a thread to help: Texture, Porosity, and other Hair Type Madness) and tell folks what you do/products you use when asking for information. It's hard to give help with no data upon which to base it.

Most folks will recommend some type of CG/modified CG program for you to help with frizz. It's all about getting the proper balance between moisture and protein.
