Less Curly):

Okay so I have like 3a hair but it is really long so it gets weighed down to like a 2c or something. So I was wondering if there was anything to make my hair more curly because I really want super curly hair but I do not want to cut it! So is there like a certain product I could use or like a curl enhancer?
Products I currently use/ or have tried in the past:
Got2b kinkier double curling spray
Tressemme curling mousse
Herbal essence curl defining mousse
I know you don't want to cut it, but do you still get tiny trims? I'm asking because the last time I stopped cutting my hair and just trimmed off my own splits, my hair went from looking like 3a/b to 2c because it wasn't healthy. It also eventually started looking shorter because I guess it started gradually splitting up the shaft. There is no product that can substitute keeping up with trims. I finally found someone who agreed to just cut a tiny bit off at a time, and my hair literally bounced back after my first trim. Also, I had long layers put in my hair and that really, really helped with the curls reviving.

P.S. I forgot to answer the product part of your question. I have found the new aveda be curly style prep to boost my curls more than other products.

Thanks(: I trim my hair every couple months is that often enough? And I will try the be curly stuff!
That's good that you trim it! Every few months is great. Do you have any layers in it? When I used to have my hair a few inches above my waist (when wet) I noticed my curls were not as curly any more- too much weight. I found they really came back to life after I got long layers put in. Do you have any?

Make sure you check out the be curly style prep (not the enhancer). I think the enhancer would weigh down your hair too much. I only use less than one pump of the style prep or else its too heavy. Finding the right amount is key!

No I don't have long layers. What should I should I say to the hair lady when I go get them?
So is your hair all one length if you don't have layers? Long layers is what I have, for example. But if you do something like that you might want to look at some photos in the photo gallery and print them out to show your stylist. She needs to be able to cut curly hair (ie. cut the layers when your hair is dry) or else if the layers are cut when wet, it might not look right when it dries curly. You might want to look under the stylist thread in curl talk to get some specific suggestions, or under your hair type.
