Unhappy 3a Teenage Hair

hi! im new to this website, but i do know that there are experts here that can answer questions. well, i of course am having some difficulty with my dirty blonde, medium length, 3a hair. Whenever i let it dry after styling, it dries in loose ringlets-even though i tried to go for the shaggy look or beach waves. it still will dry in loose ringlets at the ends. im wondering if i need to cut my hair in more layers or something or use a stronger kind of styling product to fix this problem. please help me! there is a big field trip my class is taking in a few weeks...i dont want to have to be self-concious about my hair during the trip!

So many women on here (myself included) would love to have hair that is as determined to coil as yours seems to be. Can I ask why you are so set on beach waves? Why not embrace your natural texture?

shampoo: herbal essences "hello hydration"
conditioner: pantene proV "dry to moisturized" FINE
leave in: garnier fructis leave-in conditioning cream "sleek and shine"
product: redken curl boucle "ringlet 07"
styling product: sammy "big curls" curl defining cream
defuser and air dry....then style
i mix the redken and sammy product together and do the "rake and shake" kind of styling for my hair

Have you thought about going CG? Most of the ladies on these boards have given up or greatly reduced using regular shampoo and products with silicone because they dry hair out. It made a really big difference for me. My hair was apparently so dried out, it couldn't curl the way it wanted to.

It sounds like your hair might be fine... mine is too. I've had great luck with the Spiral Solutions line: Spiral Solutions Hair Care The Firm Hold Gel is almost all natural, makes my hair look productless, but cuts down the volume and frizz.
