I can't comment on the Curly Hair Solutions products, because I have never used them.

However, I have the Herbal Essence products in my cupboard right now. I don't think the conditioner is CG because from what I can remember from looking at it in the store it has dimethicone in it (NOT the water soluble kind).

The Totally Twisted mousse I have right now, its CG and works well. I used it over the weekend and it gave me soft hair but didn't have a lot of hold. I am used to using gel to get a strong hold and this didn't give me that kind of result. However, my hair was tamed and soft. It had some frizz, but I really enjoyed how soft it was.

The Totally Twisted gel is the exact gel I used when I went CG. It works well and smells good. I have since starting using Herbal Essence's Set Me Up Max Hold Gel because I like a little bit more hold than Totally Twisted gave me. Overall, it is a good gel, cheap and CG approved!

well i got the conditioner and the gel....and i like the conditioner. i like the gel too. but when applied to heavily to one spot it tends to get crunchy...oh well. have any suggestions for a good shampoo i could find in a local walmart? i know its not very likely...
Yeah I had the same issue with the gel, I just had be careful to distribute it evenly.

According to Walmart's website they sell Giovanni's Tea Tree Triple Treat Shampoo in their stores. You can use their search on this link to see if they have it at your local store.

Giovanni's is a favorite of mine for a low poo, which I am guessing you are looking for?

HTH, The nearest Walmart for me is miles and miles away, so I always shop at Target or Walgreens or Whole Foods for hair care products.

you know how to do searches? i've been using searches so much lately-you can choose product reviews & it may or may not have the exact products your'e looking for. but i think it does have a few HE products. or just read through the threads using control and F which finds the exact word you're looking for.

good luck!

-Mostly 3A, though wavy if not enough moisture (like when I lived in CO.).
-High dew point gives large ringlets, though smaller & tighter coils at neck.
-Med. texture, high density, normally porous?
-sulfate free, silicone free baby!
-searching for good stylers (but can't purchase living in China! must wait till summers to buy in US)
