CG less than a week-very itchy-thoughts???

Kristin
-Mostly 3A, though wavy if not enough moisture (like when I lived in CO.).
-High dew point gives large ringlets, though smaller & tighter coils at neck.
-Med. texture, high density, normally porous?
-sulfate free, silicone free baby!
-searching for good stylers (but can't purchase living in China! must wait till summers to buy in US)
I had exactly the same thing happen. It took my scalp a while to get used to being on CG method.

Are you co-washing only? Using a low poo?
If only co-washing, maybe try to keep the condish off your scalp or rinsing it of your scalp.

I decided to stick out the itchiness for a while to help my hair get healthier and then I switched to washing with a low poo that had only natural surfactants in it. I only low poo once or twice a week but it helps my scalp feel cleaner and healthier. When I co-wash I put condish on my scalp but I am careful to rinse it off my scalp, then add more condish to my hair so it stays moisturized.

Curl Style: 3b/3c
Texture: Fine
Porosity: Normal

Co-wash: Suave Naturals Coconut
RO: GVP CB
Styling: As I Am Leave In, Jessicurl Rockin' Ringlets & Confident Coils, DevaCurl Set Me Up, Curl Keeper

I found a scrub relieved it a little. Baking soda or brown sugar...
Thanks guys. I JUST read yesterday from my new CG book about the scrub. haven't tried it yet, b/c the itchiness really only lasted a couple days & i haven't even noticed it in a while! i read that it's normal going through transition from poo. (sounds so funny to say!)
so next time i'm itchy i'll know what to do. hope this helped other newbies tho'!
