How do I get my 3a hair looking great?

I've been trying the curly girl method for about 6 months with Aubrey Organics conditioner and Kiss My Face gel.

My 3a hair is frizzy and dry looking.

I saw a video of a man with hair that makes mine look like a bird ( YouTube - Russell Brand interview ).

Should I stick with the CG method? If I should, then what other products and/or methods should I try?

If I should move away from the CG method, then what products and/or methods should I try?
Frizzy and dry at the same time sounds like your hair is coated with something and you have build up. Did you do a clarifying shampoo with a shampoo that has sulfate but no silicone?? Even if you did, you may need to do a cleanse with a low poo or cleansing conditioner with Cocamidopropyl Betaine, such as CJ Daily Fix.

Your hair should should have adjusted and be looking good after six months, if it likes CG and you're doing it correctly. Here's a link that goes over how to do it: The College Curly: Laura Lee's All In One Guide to Going CG: Now Revised and Updated!

You need to determine you hair properties, here's a link to help: Texture, Porosity, and other Hair Type Madness After you discover you properties, look for folks with hair like yours and see what they use (most have it in signature) and what they do.

A lot of us rotate products. I wet and style every day and seldom use any one product more then once a week. The AO conditioner is very rich. If I use it, I can only use it twice a week in winter and not at all in summer. You certainly need to try some other products.
