Vegetable Glycerine... good or bad?

I just bought vegetable glycerine on a whim because I vaguely remembered hearing good stuff about it, but now that Iv actually researched it I realized it probably wasnt the best choice since I live in zero humidity Arizona and it says when theres no moisture in the air it can steal moisture from your hair! Since my hair is EXTREMELY dry already this is a major no go. BUT i was wondering.. if I used the glycerine with almond oil then would that be okay? or should i just return it immediately.... Thank you!!!
