two strand twist on 3 type hair???

i have really soft curls i know i am not a 4 type i am a mix of all the 3s with a serious problem of friss so i am trying the 2 strand twist method but they keep unravelling...i am using miss jessies curly pudding to keep them locked its helping to an extent any suggestions???
