just keeping a healthy diet with plenty of vitaims and minerals helps alot, im trying to grow my hair as well, n ive heard bout herbs that are supposed to help with growth,
rosemary,
peppermints, (if your female, not good idea for males)
and ginger roots,

giveing your scalp a good message every day will help as well, by stimulating blood to the hair. ive been making a rosemary/olive oil, by picking fresh rosemary and pureing EVOO over it, letting it sit for a week and then i use it like i would use any oil, sealing, hot oil treatments, in deep conditioners ect. i also make a tea with rosemary and peppermints cool it right down and pour it over my hair for a final rinse.
ive been doing all this for a little under two months, n for the first time in my life ive noted that my hair HAS gotten longer, and thicker so i must be doing somting right!
vanillatoffee likes this.

Well if you want realistic answers, all I can tell you is that I have never been able to "make" or force my hair grow faster than it does on its own. Vitamins don't make your hair grow, and neither do miracle "growth aids". Your hair IS growing (for most folks 1/2 in. a month is average), so you may not see a difference in length every month.. it might take 3 months to notice that it's longer than it was before.

My staples: Mane n Tail (cowash), Garnier Fructis Sleek n Shine (leave in condish), Grapeseed oil or shea butter (sealing), Organic Root Stimulator Elasticitea (leave-in condish & light hold)

+1

The only way vitamins made a difference for me is when I was deficient in certain minerals or vitamins that slowed down my hair growth from what is already predetermined. The big key is retention.

You should definitely try Fish Oil(Omega-3). My hair just hasnt been growing for over a year. No joke, My ends were in perfect condition, Only dusted it, Was taking vit E,C,Biotin,Iron,Multi-Vit.. Every supplement that I read for hair growth. I officially gave up and just accepted that my hair wasn't going to grow anymore (only a little past my shoulders) I thought I had reached my maximum growth.

Well, Then a friend told me "here take this Omega-3 Fish Oil" and it did wonders for my skin, Well, After a month of taking it.. My hair has actually grown. A lot. I died it light brown (all the way to the root) because I figured "it doesn't grow anyways..it'll take a while before i dye my roots".. Well it has grown half an inch in 16 days (I could keep track because my roots are so light when my natural color is black) My hair really has never grown this fast, EVER. It would take months to even get half an inch.

I would definitely try this if I were you.

i would deffintly say that diet is helping also exercise. but there's not really any miracle thing to do other than take good care and retain length with gentle care and low manipulation and protective styling

Default Worth a try

I have been using this mix off and on for a while***

MSM powder ( crushed pills dont work well)
Distilled water
Rosewater or aloe vera juice ( acidic to close hair shaft)

I have porous hair, so I go 1/2 distilled water 1/2( rose or avj) in a spray bottle and 1-2 table spoons MSM powder.

I spritz before I apply my leave-in and selants, or when ever my hair needs moisture.

Its simple, nothing crazy, I get the powder from vitacost.com or vitimshoppe. You can also take it orally to grow your nails or improve joint stiffness,as it helps rebuild cartilage, I have knee problems, so I add some to my oj in the morning.

***When I first used it I got crazy growth for the first 3 months then it started to tapper off, so I stopped using the MSM for a while. Then went back to it and the same thing happened. So thats why Im on and off with it.

Some people may not agree.. some may be grossed out... at this point I dont care...I used monistat 7 and my hair grew and inch a month for two months... only reason I stopped is I got a weave and Im actually not trying to have to redo it in three weeks from the braids aging from hair growth and I needed a break from daily maintenance.. but as soon as I take it down im right back on it...you can google it... and see the results.. im actually going to post mine on youtube... I love it
