Default How to help hair with kinks

Hi, I am not a 3c, but my wavy, slightly curly hair does have kinks. They make the curl change it's pattern sort of like a kink in a slinky or old-time phone cord, where it flips over on itself. I was wondering if you all could help me with what usually works for you to keep your curls soft and well defined. I'm also going for my first deva cut next week so maybe the stylist can help. Thanks for your help and input.

Default Defining Curl Product

Try a good "defining" product. This should add some "weight" to the curl while coating it at the same time to avoid knotting and tangling.
