The last time I did a deep conditioning treatment, i tried using a new shower cap that was thicker than my old one. Since I don't have a hooded dryer, I waved my new blow dryer around my head for about 10. This time, I wasn't feeling much heat since my new blow dryer was not as strong as the old one. I then tried using a plastic bag instead of the shower cap which seemed to work better. When I took the plastic bag off, I saw some smoke coming from my head. Could I have heat damage from doing DTs?...

Not at all. Remember you had heat trapped beneath plastic, and when you take it off the heat is hitting the cooler air and guess what you'll see? Steam! It happens all the time when I do my hair.

So don't worry

i dont think it would damage it, ive done that before, with the dryer but got sick of holding my hand there so i gave up on it
