Default Nexus emergencee

I have used this product and it works well as a styling product. Don't leave it on for more then 3 days as your hair will become very very dry and will break off.

Now, I recently tried this morning to add it to kinky curly leave in and .. wow.. not good at all.. this made my hair hard and unmanageable. Really hard to get off.

maybe you need to use a sulfate poo to get rid of it, then a nice DT to get all the goodies back in your hair that you lost

Hmmmm! I thought Emergencee was a straight up protein treatment (the kind that smells awful). The product, as I recall, definitely wasn't something to be used as a styler as I can imagine it will break your hair off. But once you sat under the dryer, this stuff made the hair hard as a helmet and was to be followed up with a moisture treatment, Humectress which I recall made my hair extremely soft and it had a nice, sweet smell. Maybe Nexus has changed the names of their products over the years and now Emergencee is a totally different product than it was back in the day. Since you are using it as a styler I certainly hope that is the case.

I use Emergencee about twice a month or so. I shampoo with Therappe, put in the emergencee and wait about three minutes. Shampoo and again then follow with a deep conditioner.

As I understand it, protein such as emergencee must be followed with a conditioner. I know that if I don't follow with the conditioner my hair feels very brittle and straw like.

My hair loves it.

Thanks - I will try the sulfate poo. I haven't used it since I last wrote this. I had done henna and henna makes my hair really dry and brittle. I have to do a lot of deep treatment to restore the hair back. Henna does make my hair stronger and reduces hair loss.
anywho, back to emergencee. This stuff makes my curls well defined and enlongates them. It is not recommended to leave it on for days, once you feel some dryness - wash it.

I got this tip from a fellow curly head - her hair looks great. She said she got the tip from a stylist.

when it does start drying your hair feels a bit sticky but once dry, its very shiny and makes your hair look healthy.

hahaha I ended writing more then I thought.. got side tracked... lol

I had a stylist recommend Emergencee as a styler too. She said just a tiny bit on wet hair along with a leave in. She said it will act as a gel because it gets a little hard. It didnt work for me. I cant use protein all the time. And I hate crunchy hair. She liked her curls kind of crunchy so I guess thats why she liked it. I think that cant be good in the long run. But I dont know.
