Has anyone tried Oyin's products before? I found a store in my area that carries their products. What would you recommend from Oyin?

OMG! I love Oyin. I order from thier site oyinhandmade.com all the time. The honey sticks, honey hemp conditioner, whipped Shea, and honey was are my favorite products.

I meant to say honey wash. I use it as a body and face wash, very moisturizing.

Shine and define and burnt sugar pomade, honey hemp condish got em use the later two once and decided on a simplified regimen... Buns and wigs lengthy washes .so I'm gonna freeze em till spring/ summer...juice n berries all are great for warm weather use

Thanks everyone. I'm not really sure what to get from them. I might try the $20 sample size products, the mini size of the liquid sprays, and a mini burnt sugar pomade. I hope they run a Black Friday sales that's when I'll buy their products

I do it every year. I brought some miss Jessie products last year during Black Friday/Cyber Monday. I eventually swapped to a friend that's already natural. I will be wiser this time and buy sample sizes of Oyin

I love Oyin!! They are my staple products. I have used them exclusively for 2 years and have had great results.

I would definitely recommend starting with the sample pack, sample Burnt Sugar Pomade and the Hair Dew. Hair Dew is not available in a sample size...but it is sooo worth it to buy the regular 8 oz size. The pomade is probably one of my favorite products ( my hair loves oils), but for a newbie to Oyin, you may not care for it's fragrance. It smells like maple syrup. I love it, but it did take awhile to get used to it.

I think you will like them. Hope this helps!!

I used the frank juice and shine&define serum fresh out the shower with a little bit of conditioner still in my hair. I liked it, but I didn't use it as my staple products because I was on a tight budget back then.

I also blew close to $200 buying full size miss jessies products. Till this day I'll never figure out why I didn't just order the sample sizes to try them out first *shakes head*

I finally caved in and decided to order some Oyin products. From the video reviews I've seen their stuff seems to be amazing. I brought the full size of the hair dew leave in I think. I brought the 4oz of the whipped pudding. Then I brought the sample sizes of the honey hemp conditioner, brunt sugar pomade, and juices & berries. I can't wait for my package to arrive. Im looking to shift my hair regimen a little. Plus colder weather always brings the PJ out in me. Thank you all for your product suggestions

I didn't know any better about Miss Jessie's. I always use to see their stuff in hair mags. When I started doing braid/twist outs when I was still relaxing my hair (transitioning now) I heard their stuff was "good". A big gimmick to me. It made my hair greasy and dry. Plus their products smell horrible to me. It takes a lot of washes to get the scents out. Thank God I got the samples during black Friday. I only paid $30 something plus tax & shipping.

Now I use kinky curly knot today and curling custard to style my hair. I've been using kinky curly off and on for years now. I'd venture off to try new products, but always come back to it.

I think miss jessies are for peolple who are use to using beauty supply store type products and not for the health concious consumer. They have crappy ingridients but charge an arm and a leg *rolls eyes*. Kind of like carols daughter. She has mostly beeswax in her products but charges an arm and a leg. You can buy better quality natural products from other trusted, black owned(if someone is into supporting black owned companies) companies for less.

LOVE OYIN! I have:
-all three juices, and I love all. My fave is Frank Juice. Have repurchased.

-Honey Hemp condish, love it and have repurchased.

-Hair Dew, newly purchased and LOVE IT for refreshing an old wash n go that's dried, great for morning refreshing and evening 'next day prep', great for pineappling. LOVE LOVE LOVE THE SCENT! I find myself whippin my hair around so I can get a whiff.

-Sugar Berry Pomade, newly purchased and LOVE so much that I just ordered Burnt Sugar Pomade, because I understand its the same scent as Hair Dew which I adore

Will be repurchasing all.

My Oyin products came today

The burnt sugar pomade, hair dew, and whipped pudding scents are a little over powering for me but I can get use to the smells. I love the scent of juices & berries and the honey hemp conditioner. I may co-wash my hair today or do a light poo tomorrow with my Karen's Body Beautiful juicy shampoo bar. I'll also will be posting a review on my blog.

My thoughts about Oyin: I'm going to lie when I first used the products I purchased on my hair, I was ready to swap it to a friend. Today I decided to play around with the whipped pudding and burnt sugar pomade. I find the whipped pudding works best on top of another product to provide a light hold to a current style. I wore a bun today and my hair did not frizz up with the whipped pudding on top of my hair (today was a rainy day). It moisturized the heck of my hair as well. The burnt sugar pomade is wonderful I use it on my scalp. I don't apply this on top of my hair. It can make my hair a little sticky/greasy.

I did a test spray of the juices and berries on my hair and it made it sticky. I'm going to dilute it by adding drops of it in my spray bottle. The honey hemp conditioner I did not try yet I will reserve this for when I wash my hair again. The honey dew leave in did not work on dry hair but I will be trying it on wet hair. Overall I give two thumbs up for Oyin. I finally found a product like that keeps my hair extra moisturized in the colder months and reduces frizz.

I also want to state I am NOT fully natural yet I am 3 months post but my hair grows out really fast. I have about 1-2 inches of new growth in certain areas of my hair. Thanks to everyone who gave their recommendations of their favorite Oyin products.
