Default Losing my curl from a haircut

I've been seeing the same hair stylist for a few years and they do a great job and actually brought out my natural colors and more with my hair. Got kinda bored so tried a different hair stylist and she straightened my hair to cut it. I didn't think much of it because I use to straighten it a lot when I was young. But it never fully unstraightened, all the curl on the top of my head is gone and by the end of the day the only curl is the tips of my hair. My hair doesn't look healthy any more and it looks horrible really. I'm going back to my old hair stylist here soon but is there anything I can do to try to get my curl back or at least some volume, Have thin hair but its more thin than I remember. Would taking vitamins help? Any ideas?
