Question dimethiconol & tea-dodecylbenzene sulphonate?

just bought a conditioner I thought it was CG, surprise surprise, I got home and re-read the list of ingredients and found "dimethiconol & tea-dodecylbenzene sulphonate"
I know dimethiconol is a silicone and tea-dodecylbenzene sulphonate a sulphate, but I was wondering the action of both together. Like, if sulphate will prevent the built up of silicone
