Washing at night or morning?

Is it best to wash you hair at night than sleep on it or better to wash it in the morning and than let it air dry?!
I like to let it air dry.. I hate the feeling of sleeping with wet hair and all my product going on my beautiful silk pillow and silk cap..

But its total preferance.. some curlies only have time to wash there hair at night but use hair diffusers, I personally can't even use hair dryer on cool or warm.. but others luckily can..

I get different results with each, so it just depends. I usually wash in the morning and air dry. Then I feel like I have more control over styling and frizz. But if I need to wash at night I use a little extra of my gel and sleep with my hair plopped in a mf towel all night. I usually wake up with great curl and lots of body...but the curls can go a little wackadoo! In that case, I just use bobby pins to move things where I want them.

I think it also depends on hair length. My hair is long now, but when it was shorter, like a bob, washing and night meant major bed head in the morning.
