Mineral Oil in Kpac, Oils w/Kinky Curly Custard

One more question please, i'm so excited now that I'm diving in!
I think my hair likes protein (thin fine, 3b/a.) and Joico KPac looks good however I believe it has mineral oil in it-- looks like the 5th. ingredient listed. Do you think it will weigh my hair down, or any negative effects/ need sulphates to remove in this capacity (used as a deep conditioner once a week?)

Re; Kinky Curly Custard, are all oils in any hair products incompatible with it or just certain ones? I'm really hoping to elongate my curls with this, but need products that moisturize and so many good ones seem to have some oils. Thank you so much.

I use Kinky Curly Custard along with Deva No Poo & One Condition. However I don't think these products contain any oils. I have got the best moisturizing using this combo along with KK Knot Today as a leave in conditioner.

My hair reacts poorly to mineral oil, so I wouldn't use the K-Pak. My hair prefers the more natural products. Curl Junkie Repair Me and Spiral Solutions Protein Repair Treatment are two great PTs that usually don't require a DT because they are also moisturizing.

I don't use straight oil, but do use many of the "richer" products. I've never had an issue with any product and KCCC.

Thanks KathyMack, I will try the Curl Junkie Repair Me first and then maybe the spiral solutions in the furture depending. So, do you think if oils like shea butter and castor oil are mixed in a product they don't have that same build up effect as if they were used straight? I wasn't planning on using the oils straight as stylers because on my thin fine hair I fugured they'd build up and I don't want to have to use sulphates.

My hair also HATES castor oil, so I'll only use it if it has PEG in front of it.

My hair prefers the more natural products from the online, boutique lines. I use a lot of really rich products in minute amounts (my hair is also low porosity) and don't seem to have issues.

Thanks kathymack, I guess other vegetable/fruit oils found in the "richer" products are okay as long as they're mixed in rather than applying straight oil to hair? What about a sugar scrub with coconut or jojoba oil as a conditioner before a cowash?

That's how my hair is. I don't use straight oils and butters, just use them in products.

There are people who do add oils prepoo. I don't. Nor do I have a need to do a sugar scrub. But there are plenty of folks that do them for itchy scalp.
