That looks great OP. :) I have had to whip out my super heavy conditioners and moisturizers for the cold months. Right now I wash/deep condition once a week and keep my hair in twists. I only take my hair down on Sundays.

I toss it into a braid or bun. Anything that exposes less surface area to the wind and cold  Sometimes I just let it loose, but only with lots of conditioner and if I've been extra good to it lately.

Protective/smhomective....

If I was still in Chicago I may be answering very differently. However, I live in NC where the climate is mild even for winter time. I treat my hair the same year round, wash n go's that I start on Saturdays that give my 3-4 day hair that turns into a head band then ponypuff by Friday.....

But, if I did use a protective style, I'd have to go with a low or high bun using spin pins (those things really are great).

braid outs work best for me and twist because I'm lazy.
