length retention and working out?

i work out every day and get SUPER sweaty, so second day hair is basically impossible for me, since im still in school and dont want to reek going to school the next day. im trying to be very gentle with my hair because i want it to grow, is it possible that im inhibiting my growth by not following the low manipulation method? ...im being very gentle but yes, i am doing my hair every day.

I used to work out everyday if not every other day and I wouldn't wash my hair every day and I was natural. I'd just bun my hair, after it dried from being sweaty. It sounds gross, but I didn't want to do too much to my hair everyday afterwards. I'd wash it after my gym run on Fridays though, it was my ritual.

I noticed my hair thrived when I did this, which is probably why its so long now only after a little more than a year.
