Default curly hair help

Hi, I'm new here and in desperate need of hair advice. I've struggled with curly hair for as long as I can remember. I do have the occasional decent hair day, but that's usually when it's on the shorter side (a few inches below the shoulder). I prefer a longer length, but the longer it is, the less curls and the more frizz. Is there any way that I can keep the length and still have curl definition?

I'm pretty sure that I'm a 3a. My hair tends to be on the dry/coarse side. It's pretty thick and takes several hours to dry completely. I started thinning my hair out about a year or so ago. I read a few topics about how that can cause frizz when it grows out, but I actually think it helped improve my frizz slightly. It definitely made it more manageable.

My hair routine- I wash it every two days, sometimes three. I shampoo the top part only and leave in the conditioner for ten minutes or so. I use deep conditioner once a week. I air dry only, put one product in (lately Paul Mitchell Super Sculpt) and twist pieces and leave it alone until it's dry.

Off topic, but I just noticed that it says I joined in 2007, have 114 posts, and a signature that is definitely not mine. Did I accidentally take someone's account when I registered? I just registered a few minutes ago.
