Yep, pencil sized curls on the bottom for me and larger on the top, but I have a LOT of hair, just like you.

I think the main attribute for my defined curls is that I use the "curly girl method". I have been "CG" for a good while now. However, on this night I used III Sisters of Nature Stretch It Out Cream, a little Tresemme Naturals underneath that, and Argan Eco styler gel to each section. Once I applied the product I separated my clumped hair by running my index & thumb fingers down the length of my hair in smaller sections to individualize the curls a little better. Kind of like the "tightly curly method" but in bigger clumps. I normally never use gel on the length of my hair but this was the best definition I have ever experienced! I will start using gel every now and then but not too often because I don't want it to dry my hair out.
