Weighing down your curls

I have very porous and fine hair, and on top of that it's damaged, so my hair shrinks a lot and I always have frizz. Any tips on how I could sort of weigh it down to show its length and decrease frizz would be much appreciated. It sucks having waist-length hair that looks shoulder length because of shrinkage!

Thanks! :afro:

using heavier curl creams, thicker gels, etc elongates most curls. also heavier conditioner will help. All of that will also help with the frizz. A good deep conditioner will help with the frizz issue too. With you having fine hair you probably will have to be cautious because if i'm not mistaken it's easy for fine hair to get too weighted down. I know a lot of people swear by kccc to give them length. Personally I hated the stuff (made my hair stringy and it took forever to dry) but you may like it. i'm sure others will weigh in on some product recommendations. I have super thick, course hair that's mid-back length but fortunately i don't get as much shrinkage as most people here. Once dry it's bsl. for styling I use suave naturals as a leave-in, shea moisture smoothie, and xtreme gel. hth
