Default Conditioner method Vs Eco Styler gel

Hello,

I have a a problem with both methods. I love how the eco styler gel defines my curls with no problem but the next day it just leaves my hair so dry and the shrinkage is ridiculous. On the other hand the conditioner method define my curls too but you have to put more work into it and it leaves my hair with white stuff on it. oh yeah the ecosyler gel tighten my curls and the coditioner method loosen it a bit.

Please somebody help me with my dilemma

1st pic ecostyler gel 1st day
2nd pic ecostyler gel 2nd day
3rd pic conditioner method

Thanks

Hair type 3c 4a

I have no idea why condish will leave a white residue on some folks and not on others. I have never had an issue with white condish residue and I've been using condish in my hair for decades.

Maybe for you, try going over your hair with a little more water after you've applied condish to thin it down a bit.

A lot of people like Tresemme Naturals, Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition, or Suave Naturals (these are the cheapies, but goodies). If you check my sig, those are the products I use most often.

Just keep working on the residue issue.. I think it may be foaming up in your hair. Are you combing it thru? What is your technique?

Maybe it's a porosity thing. I'm low porosity and conditioner leaves white in my hair too.

Are you using a leave-in or oil underneath the Eco?

I don't really use gel except once in a while on my edges but I wouldn't apply it without a LI or oil underneath! My fine strands would break off! Anyway, I just use tressemme naturals typically as a leave in and finger comb my hair. I use mahoganycurls method on YT.

eta: if you watch her w n g vids she show how she gets the excess condish from her hair. I have normal porosity hair and never have white streaks or anything with this method.

Have you found another gel you like? I recently got a sample of of the olive oil eco styler gel and it leaves white junk in my hair (I used it over my leave in and oil). It does not play well with other conditioners, bur the good news was the white stuf went away once my hair dried. If I use gel it is fantasia ic gel w/sparkelites layed on top of my leave in and oil, with no problems.

Blame it on the cell phone...

I've never had a problem with Eco styler gel not playing well with conditioners. Today I did use conditioner with a styler on top. I'm trying stop relying on gel to create the perfect curl.
