Am I being unrealistic?

Hi, I am fairly new to Curl Talk. I am pretty sure I am a 3B. I typically put an antifrizz moisturizer, mousse and a bit of hairspray and lightly diffuse in my hair as my routine. (Not daily) however I just want to shampoo condition and then put a natural moisturizer and go. However if I do this my hair ends up in an ugly dry 80's fro. I've tried aloe vera gel but my hair was still dry and limply fro-ey. And tips or natural products to recommend? Thanks!
Anyone?

Flax seed gel. You can use this alone or with oil after it dries, that's what I do. Completely natural. Also I think that sometimes our hair has to get used to behaving less product.
Stay away from straightening completely it will take awhile and use kinky curly line plus weekly dts
I do not straighten it at all and havent in over 2 years

I love the Aubrey Organics line of products. They're all natural and I've found that I don't need that many items to keep my hair happy.

I alternate their Honeysuckle Rose conditioner for moisture and their GBP conditioner for protein depending on what I think my hair needs that day. I can also leave them on for a deep treatment or protein treatment under a plastic cap overnight and get great results. For styling I use their Mandarin Magic Hair Jelly (or their B5 Design Gel) and it keeps my hair defined without being crunchy or sticky.

I get Aubrey Organics products at Vitacost.com, but they're available on the ground at Whole Foods or The Vitamin Shoppe. They're also cheaper than salon products and only a bit pricier than drugstore options.

Hope this helps!
