Yep, everyday with mine is a mystery. Same as you, sometimes they'll be longer and curly and other days they'll be really shorter and coiled up. It's constantly changing to the point where I get asked if I cut my hair. But really it's jusf extra curly that day lol.

Lol I know! I definitely have a love hate relationship with the shrinkage...I hate that my hair looks so short curly but I love being so surprised at it's length when I do finally decide to straighten. Which is every 4/5 months. I'm shooting for 6 months this time. but how much shrinkage do you get? I get about 6 inches or so. -_-

god! that is alot! your hair is your pretty! well i just washed it n its still wet n its just on my back right now, i guess when its dry it comes up to my shoulders. i guess then maybe 3 or 4 inches? i use conditioner only styling n that tends to really help with the shrinkage.

Mine is totally unpredictable! Especially in the morning after I've had a shower and perfected my hair, by lunch it's a big ol' puffball. Extremely frustrating!

Oh I know! Thank you though. (:
My hair in the picture was of a day I weighed it down so it looks longer and less curly. I've never been able to do that again. lol.
I love yours though! You were one of the first ladies here whose hair I stalked for a bit lol. It's beautiful. Conditioner only? Man I wish I could do that. But I wouldn't get the volume or the definition I want. Do you think that's helped you with growing it out? Only 3/4? That's not too much, you're lucky!

I am right there with you. The moment I go outside and there's any wind, my hair throws a temper tantrum and it looks crazy.

ooh thank you such a nice compliment ive found a trick that helps with volume, though i do have naturally lots of volume, when my hairs still wet i put the condish in, though 3 or 4 times during the drying progress i tip my hair upside down and gently shake my curls. im really careful with it so i dont get a fizz attack. i air dry so i can just do that while im doing other things. today my hair is longer then yesterday, yesterday shoulder length today its 2 inches longer.

I'm gonna have to try this! What conditioner do you use? I was thinking about picking up Tresseme Naturals conditioner since ive heard so much about it and use it as my rinse out/leave in but I'm not sure about the slip. I normally use GVPCB as my rinse out and a cheapy vo5 as my leave in.

well im in germany so i cant get all the lovely stuff that you guys can get, but i did manage to get the rainforest moisture, from the body shop, thats been great. its a bit heavy but my hair is rather thick so i can take it. i find that when my routine is nice and simple then not much can go wrong! lol

Lol I agree! Well, I tried it today but it's not so defined and it's super frizzy. :/ I really wanted this to work.

mmmm how did you do it? i finish my shower, then squeeze the water out of my hair, i plop while i change, then take the plot down. then i mix condish and oil in the palm of my hands, and work it in one side, then i do the same to the other side. to help it clump a little better, (ive made my own rose water) i just refresh with a bit of the rose water and wait for it to dry. during the drying progress i tip my head upside down and gently shake my curls a few times. this "loosens" the curls from my scalp to give me nice lift and volume. i try not to run my fingers through i just let gravity do it.

I should've edit! It was amazing! It made my hair softer, lightweight, voluminous, amazing! It was s little fuzzy but it's summer, so I really don't mind. Gives my big curly hair some more character. I bought tresemme naturals radiant volume conditioner yesterday and used it today and it worked wonders. Just conditioner and a tad bit of grape seed oil and voila, my hair was sexy! Lol. Thank you for sharing! <3333

i am sooo happy that it worked for you! see if you can get 2nd day hair with it. i can. cause its summer i try to let my hair dry in the sun which makes it smell and feel just amazing! it does take a lot longer too dry though i find, normaly im dry within an hour, but when i do that it takes over 3 before im happy with it. i just keep shaking and playing round with it till im happy, till its dry.

I did get second day hair. But i'm finding a hard time trying to figure out the best way to secure it at night. Because i'm only using conditioner, there's no hold really. So my hair is easily manipulated and frizzes and looses definition and curl pattern easy. I usually just throw on my satin bonnet after pineappling and i'm good. When I did it this time, it was okay but there was a lot of frizz and lack of definition. And really? my hair dries way faster in the sun and always turns out a lot more defined and pretty! In the summer I always try to air dry in the sun!
