Switching Product Line
Hi!
I have been using the Deva Curl line for around 3-5 years now and I am looking for a change.
I like to use a whole product line, it just makes more sense in my mind.
I am currently using:
Deva Curl:
No-Poo
One Condition
Set It Free
AnGEL
B'leave in
and Step Up and Above
Then I would spray some Agadir Oil in while it was wet and again when it was dry.
I need a change. My curls have been looking worse and worse, and getting very puffy.
Short Story:
I want a whole new line of products, Deva-Curl worked for a few years, now my hair won't cooperate.
Ideas and suggestions?

Hmmm...you might like curl junkie, or maybe Spiral Solutions, Darcy's Botanicals, Donna Marie or Jessicurl (I don't use either for my whole routine, but I've used individual products that I've liked well). That's just a few. You might want to check ingredients and see what you think will work best based on your hair properties. Also, those are higher priced lines, so if you're looking for less expensive options you might try As I Am, SheaMoisture, or Curls lines, which I would say are mid priced and more readily available on the ground. There are also drugstore brands, and generic knock offs available at Sally's.

My favorite brands are Curl Junkie, Darcy's Botanicals, As I Am, Curly Kinks and Shea Moisture. Also love sealing with oil and styling with jelly products.

I personally prefer not to use all one line, only because I like how they interact with each other in different ways and I like to rotate products. I'm not sure what kind of ingredients your hair likes or what your properties are, but if you like Deva, I'd suggest most of what the poster above suggested. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Thanks so much for the advice!
I've never been that into my hair or learning more about it, I just sort of hope for the best and let it do its thing.
The reason I like to use a line is because, in my mind, the products are designed to work with each other and I do not have the time, money, or patience to try every thing when one doesn't work.
My hairstylist brother recommended Rusk which I know nothing about, and seems to be of quality, but I am not sure about how it will work with curls. (his formerly naturally curly hair is magically straight all the time. I don't know what kind of magic did that.)

I used to use all Deva products and have tried to use one product line on multiple occasions. If I had to choose one entire line, I would go with Curl Junkie (unless you're protein sensitive). Jessicurl is heavy on mag sulfate and can be drying when used as an entire line.

Many of us start with Deva, think we like it and then move on to other things we like better. Hair properties are a good way to help choose ingredients/products that might work for you. Here's a link Live Curly Live Free - Curly Hair Basics Once you determine yours, you can look for folks with hair like yours and see what they use (in signatures.) It's the best place to start.
My hair prefers the more natural products from the online boutique type companies. I stay away from a lot of chemicals (polyquats 4 and 10 build up and cause frizz for me.) Many of us rotate products because our hair satiates on using the same thing all of the time. I wet, use a rinse out and style every day. Seldom use any one product more then once every five days, if that.

Fine hair generally likes protein. With the rest being normal, you should be able to try whatever you like--which is always a lot of fun, LOL!
