Default Hair touching clothes and frizzing!

Hi everyone! I just have a quick question. What do you suggest I do for my hair? It is finally long enough that it is touching my collar. I am an air dryer. I do my best not to touch my hair, but by the time my hair is all dry it is pretty frizzy at the ends where it has been rubbing against my clothes.

I am really excited that my hair is finally hanging past my chin, but I just don't know what to do. Do you all have any suggestions, methods, products? Anything??

Not to be obvious but have u considered pinning it up? There are styles u can do to wear it up. A faux hawk for example or u can use headbands or wraps to pull the hair up a bit. I'm actually looking for some headbands and wraps for myself for coat wearing this fall/winter.

Honestly, my personal preference is to not wear my hair up while it is drying. It holds shape when it's wet, so if I am hoping to get 2nd day hair, it is best for me to wear it down. I really only do updos if I don't plan care if I get 2nd day hair or if I'm on my third day.

Thank you for the suggestion though!

I like to air dry my hair too, my type of curl is probably different to yours.. but if I have particularly fizzy bits I put a bit of product or water on them. Generally it helps, that way I'm not messing up the other curly bits!

Good luck! Hopefully someone will have the tip you're looking for!

Edit: Whoops.. just realized I posted in 3c *doh* Sorry darlin', definitely not the same hairtype :/

I bought a little bottle from walgreens/walmart/cvs and I mixed water and conditioner and gel In there and sometimes I'll touch up my ends or curls that get frizzy from my clothes. I also have a little bottle with conditioner/oil mix in it and touch it up. But if I can't have my purse where i'm at, I use extra gel and put it on the ends of my curls and twirl it so they're really defined and locked in that curl. It leaves them a tad bit hard but if it bugs me I just scrunch out tne crunch a little. That's about all you can do. Frizz in our hair types is inevitable. Personally, I enjoy some frizz. It gives character, and gives my hair a more natural/exotic/raw look and vibe. I like it.

For me, applying conditioner and oil on the ends the night before and not separating the curls on the ends the next day (leaving them clumped) protects my ends from clothes -related frizzy ends.

This is a really good bit of advice too. I'm always scared about doin things to my hair at night because I worry it'll be wasted effort if I have to do it again in the morning, but I will try ANYTHING.

Do you pineapple? If not, how do you sleep?

How I sleep depends on how I wear my hair the next day. I do sleep in rollers at times. Usually, I do about 4 or 5 braids. I have 2 roll my ends because I have just a little bit of relaxed hair after transitioning for 28 months and counting. 1 pineapple doesnt work as well as about 4 mini pineapples for me. If I am wearing a bun, I can go to sleep with it. As long as my hair is not loose at night, I am pretty good to go the next day.
