3A Perm Questions
 

I want to get a perm with a 3A curl. I have attached a virtual picture of me wearing the style I want. I have a few questions, though:
1. What color perm rod should I use?
2. Is this possible for my hair texture? My hair is naturally straight.
3. I have colored my hair a few times. Can I still get a perm?

I love talking to a 3A fan. Ha ha! Since I'm naturally curly as most here are, I don't know the answer to your question. It probably would be best to talk to a stylist who you trust.

I have not had luck with perms.
 

I once got a perm in an attempt to get my 3a hair to corkscrew curls.

It failed, and left my hair extremely damaged. I also had a friend with straight hair who got a perm, professionally done, which did nothing but damage her hair's structure: not a single curl. I wouldn't risk it if I were you, but it is your choice. Permed hair is a lot of trouble, and it may just be easier to set it in rollers (soft so they won't hurt your head) at night instead. Just some thoughts to consider :).
