Last night for the first time in YEARS I tried to just go au naturel... I used my normal shampoo & conditioner, and then used Beautiful Textures Curl Control Defining Pudding along with John Frieda Frizz-Ease Dream Curls Curl-Perfecting Spray.
I liked the end result for the most part, except for the same patch of stubborn hair I've always had smack dead in the center. It's the only dry spot (or overly dry spot), and it dries quicker than the rest of my head. Not to mention, it seems to want to be the puffiest part too!
Since I did this at night, once my hair dried, I braided it throughout my head in about 10 braids. Not too bad of a result when I woke up, except I didn't have the curl/wave pattern I would have wanted.
My hair is shoulder-length with layers; I normally flat-iron it out, so the layers help the thickness when it's straight. I'm meeting with my hair dresser today, and then I'm going back to Sally's to look into the Biotera Curling Creme and/or Curls Unleashed Second Chance Curl Refresher.
However, I'm not sure if there's something else I should look into for second day curls (preferably from Sally's or the drugstore). Let alone, what other methods I can try for good second day hair.
Any suggestions on products/second day hair methods, or any other suggestions, are truly appreciated a lot! Thanks!
