Please Help??

I need help. I am so frustrated. My hair is starting to frizz before it even comes close to drying. I have been using Trader Joe's Refresh conditioner as a co-wash and rinsing it out with cold water then reapplying some as a leave in. I then use La Bella Gel (the pink kind) and scrunch or plop using a tshirt. I really like KCCC but I've been trying to experiment with other products that are not as expensive. I really love organic products. And as far as I can tell from reading I have course medium to low porosity hair. It is 2c on the bottom and 3a on top. I don't believe I need protein and I try to avoid humectants because it is extremely humid where I live. Anyone with any suggestions?
How are you drying? Do you let your hair air dry or do you use diffuser? Do you put the products on sopping wet hair?

Oh, I let it hair dry. I can't seem to figure out how to diffuse it without getting even more frizz. Also, I do put on my products before I even get out of the shower. I flip my hair over rinse it with cold water apply product and plop. I've also tried plopping applying product doing the super soaker method and then gently scrunching with a tshirt then air drying. I'm so lost. I thought I was doing it right.
Is your hair feeling super soft or on the dry side? You might need protein or a DT. Or it could just be the weather. Dews have been really high near me and I'm battling much more frizz than normal. Depending on what the dews are, you might do well with a humectant (Curl Keeper has been a life saver for me, even in excessively high dew points).

My hair is medium coarse. For me, wet frizz means one of two things - I need more moisture (in the form of regular DTs, not just a heavier RO or LI), or I have build up and need to clarify. Could either of those be your issue?

I'm a good speller! My iPhone keyboard? Not so much.

I guess I need a DT because my hair definetlly feels dry and not as soft. It is very humid where I am and has been in the triple digits as well, so I know I will have to deal with some frizz. I would just like more curls than frizz.
For me, wet frizz means build up. My hair always frizzed with certain "gels." Found that it didn't care for polyquats 4 and 10. Polyquats have a tendency to build up on some people.

I'd do a low poo to see if you can remove whatever--and see if that helps. If you have build up, the moisture won't be able to be absorbed. Especially if your hair is low porosity.

Great topic. I've been having major issues with wet frizz when air drying, diffusing, or sitting under a propped up hooded dryer. I've now come to the conclusion that I need to drag out the SLS and then DT. I hate to because it strips and drys my hair so quickly, but my low poo's are not fully cutting it. Perhaps I should give baking soda a try first.

I've also noticed a difference with gels, but have not figured out which exact ingredients build up faster in my hair yet. I do have to switch them when I start noticing a great deal of frizz. It cuts down on this problem, for a little while.

Rinsing with cold water and sealing also helps my frizz issues, but my hair is high porosity.

Worn out iPhone. Need I say more?

I think build up was causing the wet frizz and too much protein. I'm protein sensitve and I was using a shampoo with aloe and I read somewhere that aloe is a protein or acts as a protein can't remember.
